WHO ARE THE CQC?

If it's your first time looking for health and social care services, whether for yourself, or for a loved one, you may not have heard of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) before.


The CQC is the independent regulator of Health and Adult Social Care in England, responsible for ensuring that all home care providers deliver services that are safe, effective, well-led and responsive to the needs of the client.

 

The CQC issue a comprehensive list of quality and safety standards that all regulated companies must adhere to, carrying out regular routine monitoring and inspection of each one.

 

On completion of their strict criteria checks, they publish their findings and issue each care provider with a performance rating.
